1 simple thing you can do right now to help overcome exhaustion

We live in a world where there is so much pressure placed on us, we all seem to have a never ending to do list, and being exhausted seems to be considered normal. Which drives me crazy. It’s become like an expectation, something that we shouldn’t really do anything about, or worst of all there is nothing we can do to make us feel less exhausted.

Now the last thing I want to do is add to your never ever to do list, for those of you who are currently feeling exhausted don’t worry I am not hear to give you a big long list of things you can do to feel better. I am actually not even going to give you 5 things you can do. Today I’m going to share with you just ONE thing that you can do right now to help ease your feelings of exhaustion.

Yes you did read that right, I’m only going to suggest you do ONE thing today. Now before I share with you what that one thing is, please note that doing this one thing will not instantly stop you feeling exhausted, that is not my intention. What it will hopefully do is make you feel slightly more energised, curing exhaustion is not something that can happen instantly, it takes time and it usually takes you doing a a variety of different things, one thing on it’s own is not usually enough.

So the one thing I suggest you do right now to give yourself a little energy boost is……


Yep that’s it. Pretty simple right? But the benefits of doing this simple task are huge. What I love even more about this is that anyone can do it, no matter how exhausted, terrible you are feeling. Yu don’t have to really go anywhere, well expect out the front door! It doesn’t need to take up a lot of time, there really is no excuse as to why you can’t get outside in nature right now.

Many studies shave been done on why getting outside in nature is good for us, these studies have found:

+ Getting outside helps to makes us feel more at ease, the more time we spend outside the better our mental health will be.

+ Spending time in nature can help to lower cortisol rates, heart rate and blood pressure.

+ It can improve your sleep, cause better immune function and lower the rate of stress related disorder.

Why I encourage you to get outside?

+ I don’t know about anyone else but I find taking a big deep breath of fresh air is the best way to get instant energy. Now I’m taking really deep breath’s, really breathe it all in. Go outside right now and take 5 long, deep breaths. How do you feel?

+ Sunshine is a great source of Vitamin D, which is great for fighting depression.

+ Grounding – can be seen as a bit ‘woo woo’ but grounding is all about having direct skin contact to the earth – so walking barefoot on the grass or sand. It is thought that without this direct contact a positive charge can build up in the body. The Earth acts as a ‘ground’ like it does for electrical outlets, reducing this extra positive charge.

+ Instant stress release. I don’t know about you but I always feel so much better when I get outside.

I’m going to keep this post short and sweet, because honestly I want to step away from your computer and get outside. Take a blanket to the beach, or even just your backyard and lie there for a while, no scrolling through social media just take a minute to enjoy and relax, and then see how you feel afterwards.
